Services
I primarily work with children, teens, and young adults experiencing anxiety, emotional, behavioral, and relationship challenges. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating anxiety-related difficulties, life transitions, trauma, and identity development.
Areas of focus include:
Anxiety, including generalized and social anxiety
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and obsessive-compulsive symptoms
Specific phobias
Trauma and attachment wounds
Grief and loss
School-related concerns and life transitions
Shame, self-esteem, and identity development
Relationship and family challenges
Adoption and foster care-related concerns
I believe every person has inherent worth and unique strengths, even when anxiety, trauma, or painful experiences make those strengths difficult to recognize. Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand yourself, develop healthier ways of coping, and create lasting change to fully live in alignment with your values.
My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely safe, understood, and accepted. While therapy often involves difficult processing and experiences, I also value humor, curiosity, and authentic connection. I strive to meet each client where they are, honoring their pace while supporting meaningful growth and healing.
Working with Children & Teens
Children and adolescents experience the world differently than adults, and I believe therapy should reflect that. I strive to create a space where children and teens feel safe enough to be themselves while building a trusting therapeutic relationship. Research consistently shows that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the strongest predictors of meaningful change, and I place great importance on creating an environment where clients feel seen, understood, and supported.
My work with children often incorporates creativity, play, and expressive interventions through my training in play therapy and art therapy. I also have experience providing parent coaching and family therapy and frequently collaborate with caregivers to help children thrive both inside and outside of the therapy room.
Client-centered
I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to create a safe, collaborative space where we can explore your experiences together and focus on what feels most meaningful to your healing and growth.
Attachment Theory
Attachment theory helps us understand how early relationships shape the ways we seek comfort, connection, and security throughout life. Together, we'll explore these patterns with compassion and work toward healthier relationships—with yourself and others
Systems Perspective
I believe healing doesn't happen in isolation. Our relationships, families, schools, workplaces, and communities all shape our experiences. Together, we'll consider how these influences affect your well-being and identify ways they can support your growth and healing.
ACT
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps clients develop greater psychological flexibility so they can respond to difficult thoughts and feelings while moving toward a life guided by their values.
Exposure Therapy
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is one of the primary approaches I use when working with OCD and anxiety-related concerns. While ERP can be challenging, I believe healing doesn't have to feel rigid—we'll balance courage with curiosity, playfulness, and celebration of each step forward.
TF-CBT
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps children and teens safely process trauma, build healthy coping skills, and strengthen caregiver support throughout the healing process.
